Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Valora Care (“we”, “our”, “the app”) handles information when you use our iOS application.
Summary
- Your personal data (check-ins, habits, mood, progress) stays on your device
- We do not require an account or collect your name/email through the app
- Optional AI features may send conversation text to third-party AI providers
- Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple via the App Store
- We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers
On your device
Valora Care stores the following locally on your iPhone:
- Emotional check-ins and mood history
- Habits, routines, and streak data
- Session progress and favorites
- App preferences (language, notifications, appearance)
- Onboarding choices (name, goals)
This data is stored in your device’s local storage and is not synced to our servers.
You can delete all local data at any time via Profile → Delete all my data.
Apple Health
If you choose to connect Apple Health, Valora Care may read and/or write health data (such as steps, sleep, water intake, mindful minutes, and mood) with your explicit permission.
Health data is managed by Apple’s Health app. We do not store HealthKit data on our own servers. You can disconnect Health access at any time in the app or in iPhone Settings.
AI features
When you use AI-powered features (such as SOS chat or guided reflection), the text of your conversation may be sent to third-party AI service providers (such as Anthropic Claude or DeepSeek) to generate a response.
- We do not use your conversations to train AI models
- AI providers process data according to their own privacy policies
- If no AI provider is configured, the app falls back to offline content
Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple’s privacy policy applies to payment processing.
To manage or cancel your subscription: iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, Valora Care uses local notifications on your device for habit reminders and streak alerts. We do not send push notifications from external servers.
Audio content
Guided session audio may be downloaded from a content delivery network (CDN) and cached on your device for offline playback. No personal data is sent with these requests.
Children’s privacy
Valora Care is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent version.
